Petite News

C'est Vosx d'Ubi Soft qui le dit Despite the long... sometimes thoughtful... many times contentious arguments about spying and character account slots, and OOC tools for information on affiliations... or one world per character code... Shadowbane will offer 5 character slots per account.
(...)this issue is now officially dug up, carbon and DNA tested, holy water sprinkled, and determined to be officially deceased.

Sinon, aux dernières nouvelles, la beta 3 devrait commencer aux USA avant la fin de l'année si tout va bien. Selon Vosx de Ubi, Swing fait des test alors que le client n'est pas encore super stable.
L'annonce de Vosx Well, the latest news is that Swing! jumped the gun on beta 3. Their beta 3 is not really ready and they have only been able to add a few more people in it since it started. Ubisoft and WP are trying not to make this same mistake, so they're taking their time. The US beta 3 is not close to as ready as they thought it was and may take 5-6 more months.

Réponse de Vosx aux dires de LainestinLOL! Do you work for the government? Its like me telling you a plastic fork costs $0.25 and then you write up a bill for $2,500.00!!
That timeframe is unrealistic to say the least. Even changing 'months' to 'weeks' would be stretching it a bit. Hope that clears things up a bit - it really shouldn't be too much longer.
Vosx
(Ubi Soft)
Bah Swing ils font leur beta avec un client merdique dixit Vosx

If wolfpack isn't ready, then why the hell started beta 3 in europe already, aren't we using all the same software???
Or are European beta testers using an improved beta 2 version, but not beta 3???
Tegetana or other Swing! employee please explain....
DoubleD
We are using the same software :-)
Not starting the Beta with outside Testers in the US can have multiple reasons(starting with technical reasons, communication, company politics etc. and ending with financial ones).
I cannot comment on the reasons why the US-Beta didn t start yet. While UBI-Soft Employees might have said in a chat that we have "jumped the gun" and that they will start the Beta the *moment* the showstoppers are fixed, we think some external tester will help to fix the showstoppers a lot faster.
Does the Server Crash? YES! Does the Client Crash? YES!
Do the Testers have to download big patches? YES!
There is no hard indicator that tells you "now the Client and Server are Ready for Beta!".
We think a limited number of outside Testers helps a lot to find major bugs and improve gameplay even at this stage, when UBI thinks it is better to wait a little bit longer, fine!
We had reasons to start the beta, UBI had reasons not to start the beta, thats all. I dont think one decision was better then the other, maybe both decisions were right from their own point of view?
Tegatana (de Swing ;))
