This is the original 213 page design specifications for Ultima Online 2. Dated May 20, 1998 the document covers all the design philosophies, issues, goals & objectives etc. that drove the overall design and development of this recently cancelled game.
It contains (among many other topics) an executive overview, the fictional story, proposed features and 'First 30 minutes of gameplay' describing how a user might react to the game.
Beyond being a very interesting read and insight into the minds of the UO2 design/development team ('Lord British Productions'), it is also serves as a superb model 'design document' for game developers to follow. With appropriate changes to copyright infringments (game name, etc.) items it could easiy serve as a design guide for a new RPG game as well. Note: This document does not contain any copyright information or notices (only 'Origin confidential') nor contains any proprietary information concerning the technologies used, studio or company. It is primarily a document outlining the intended design goals and concepts to be reviewed for development approval by management.
Truly a 'one of a kind' collectors item. Bid now to own this piece of history!
Winning bidder can pay by Personal Check, Cashiers Check, Money Order or PayPal (preferred). Personal checks will need to clear before item is shipped. Successful U.S. bidders will pay a flat $8 shipping/handling fee. International shipping fee is dependent on the method of shipment and location of buyer.

Short form: All of someone's base now belongs to EA. Don't worry, no UO2 dev members were harmed in the making of this very large mistake. All of this is second hand information, mind you, but
overall, it's just not a good idea to paint a big target on your forehead with an arrow that says 'Crush me like a bug!'
