Ok,guys. Now if u r reading this article, pls go to yr diablo2
folder and look for txt files. the file name is D2xxyyzz while xx
is year, yyis monh and zz is day. It is created once u pushed on
the damn chat gem sometimes. It is not always created, but if u r
one who always activate the gem b4 joining game, i'm sure u'll hv
some txt files of that kind.
Then, open the file with notepad. U'll find that the file marked
down the information(in very detail!) of yr computer and sometime
even marked down the game u played.... my file is TOOOO long to
be posted here, so, check it yrself.
Obviously, blizzard is getting our machine information without
our premission. I believe the text files are transmitted to
blizzard and it may be the cause of server jam. So, if there's
any lawyer looking on this post, pls tell us if blizzard is
committing the law. And,i think it is the ultimate truth of the
chat gem.
For information, pls try it out yrself.
Hope this message would not be deleted.

Also when you first join a game after activating the gem, you
sometimes get a messgade from blizzard saying that the game is
being tracked(if it flashes up and goes press M to get the
message log). I think that this adds weight to the above!

If Blizzard states that the game is being tracked, they do it on
their own machine which you are logged on to (the server). Do you
understand that??? The GAME executes on the (Blizzard's) SERVER,
your machine is a CLIENT providing information of your characters
actions and receiveing information about ever other (N)PC's
actions in that game.
So Blizz is violating some of your rights by tracking execution
of programs on their server, and perhaps traffic to and from
their server? This and other monitoring is a necessity if they
should have any chance of optimizing the server's and the game -
you don't like it as it is?, preferring v. 1.0?
If you have any suspicious (sp?) activities which you are afraid
should be revealed - dont log on to b-net!!

I really don't want to post these posts here, but some of you
paranoid a.......s make me do it.

Sorry for posting this in a trade-forum, just had to get out.

You're an idiot. Not only is this old news, the files are normal
log files, and nothing points to your accusation that the files
are being sent to Blizzard. They're there for troubleshooting
purposes only.

Plus, it's got nothing to do with the gem. Absolutely nothing. It
records all that you do.

Er, files d2xxyyzz.txt are log files, created everyday you start
d2. If you play every day, you will notice that log files stay in
your dir only for past 5 days of playing. I also noticed that
files were bigger at days I was playing more(90k) and
smaller(15k) when I wasn't. Files have nothing to do with gem,
they are simply log files, and most games out there have some
sort of logging enabled.

The files contains debug infos and i'm happy that this file is
created, because it's the only way to track down serious errors.
like access violation, without the stacktrace and reg dumps it's
impossible to locate the problem. U can use it yourself to
tracked down a damaged driver file. if blizzard would like to
scan our computers then there are easier ways to do it. They have
an open tcp connection. What more do they need? If u don't trust
blizzard then u should stop playing on battle.net immediatly.

Et le dernière réponse, intitulée : READ!!! ALIENS SUCK YOUR BRAIN BY CHAT GEM

I KNOW THE TRUTH: BLIZZARD IS IN CONTACT WITH ALIEN
LIFEFORMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They gave blizzard the ability to create
computergames of extraterrestrial quality. As a reward, blizz
programmed the chat gem in D2. Everybody who activates the gem
becomes a HAPLESS VICTIM OF THE BRAINSUCKING ALIENS!!! As you
see, it really works, my brain is completely consumed by them.

PS: Plz, blizzard, reveal the chat gem secret soon or we*ll get
even more insanos in this trading forum ;-)

Mmmmmmm...

Dommage...
