Skill Parry

Est-ce que quelqu'un pourrait m'indiquer comment fonctionne la skill Parry et à quoi elle sert?

en fait ça sert à parer les attaques et à riposter avec une attaque plus puissante

Parry

ABILITY: Dexterity
CLASSES as CLASS SKILLS: All except Sorcerer and Wizard
CLASS RESTRICTIONS: None
TRAINING: No. This skill can be used regardless of ranks.
ARMOR CHECK SKILL: Yes. See individual armors and shields for how they affect the skill check.
DESCRIPTION: The Parry skill helps the character avoid incoming melee attacks and sometimes even results in an impressive counterstrike (Riposte).
USE: The character enters into Parry Mode and thereafter, the character automatically uses the Parry skill against any melee attack.
The DC is equal to the incoming Attack Roll. A successful result means that the strike misses regardless of whether or not the attack roll itself would have resulted in a hit normally.
The character can only Parry as many attacks against them as they have normally themselves.
SPECIAL: If the Parry check succeeds by 10 or more, the character immediately attempts a Riposte attack against the foe successfully Parried.
ANALYSIS: This skill will prove to be a very useful one for lightly armored front line character when confronting a difficult opponent. It won't offer much while alone, against multiple foes, or in heavy armor (+ shield) most of the time, though, so that should be kept in mind. However, in a well made group, a difficult foe that would normally tear up any front line warrior might be effectively parried, allowing that character to survive longer while other characters try to weaken or kill it at range. The skill will probably be an all or nothing one, though. Either a character wants it to be kept at maximum ranks or they should skip taking it at all. Rogues and light armor warriors will be the ones who should consider this skill most.

Check: The DC is the modified attack roll of the incoming blow. A successful Parry check means that the attack does not damage the parrying character. A character may only parry a number of attacks per round equal to the number of attacks per round available to the character.

Special: If the parry is successful and the difference between the roll and the DC is ten points or greater, a counterattack occurs. A counterattack is a free attack made by the parrying character, at his full attack bonus, against the parried opponent.

Use: Select the Parry mode. The character will remain in parry mode until the mode is exited.


C'est en effet une compétence qui fonctionne sur un round entier soit 10 tours de 6 sec...
L'armure joue un rôle dans le calcul ... pénalisant ..
Il y a contre-attaque sous condition ...
C'est lié à la Dexterité ..

Y'a le skill, et le feat parry, ma warrior au niveau 19 avec 22 points dans le skill parry.. ce que j'ai remarqué c'est que.. quand elle se battait contre des monstres... ** effortless ** elle parrait tous les coup et évitait ( dodge ) , sans que j'entre la commande parry...mais sur les dragon.. elle parriait.... 1 coup sur 4 environ.. le feat parry n'est pas relié au skill, mais à ta dex, le feat parry, te fait parrer les coup parce que exemple , il ne te reste pas beaucoup de point de vie.. tu ne veux pas mourrir.. tu fait parry mode et tu parries les coups.. improved parry, parrie plus efficacement les coup et riposte environ à tous les 2-3 coups.

DESCRIPTION: This Feat improves the Parry by +4 ability of a character.
USE: Automatic when the Character enters into Parry Mode in combat.
ANALYSIS: If you develop a duelist/parry type of character, this Feat is a must. +4 to Parry will make the character a lot harder to hit and improve the chances to Riposte accordingly. A strong Parry character will offer an extra dimension to those lightly armored characters who develop it to its fullest and I believe it will prove to be a very valid strategy in group settings where one character draws fire and tries to hold off a tough foe with Parry while others pepper it out of danger.

Je me demande s'il ne s'agit pas de l'animation.

pour rentrer en mode parry il faut le faire volontairement ...

en gros parry ne sert pas a grand chose car si tu bouges tu desactives le parry c vraiment une skill inutile sauf peut etre avec un cleric pour qu'il te heal quand tu block les attaques mais ca reste des situations ponctuelles qui ne justifient pas l'investissement et oui improved parry qui est un feat donne un bonus a la skill pary .
pour info pour contre attaquer apres un parry il fo que la difference entre le nb de point obtenu par le lance d'1d20 +les modifactions liées a la dex soit superieur de 10 pt a la difficulty class de l'adversaire ...
donc bof bof

Puttain.. J'aurais du regardé dans mon livre.. .. Enfin.. en temps que warrior.. le feat parry ne m'a jamais servi, mais le skill oui
