Support the French aircraft development in World War 2 Online.

Par cid250 le 22/1/2003 à 22:19:08 (#3079908)

I'm from Spain, i don't know if i can write in spanish for more readable for french only speakers... but if any of you can translate this to french will be interesting.

I want more french planes modeled for a correct Battle of France. There are a lot of interesting planes that i we need, but i'm interested specially in the french dive bomber Loire-Nieuport 411.

I need your help to support this cool plane!. May be is slow, but is a dive bomber and have a 500Kg bomb load, and excellent 20mm guns... Perfect for Close Air Support to Ground.

Please get info in this link, and support it!. ;)

Loire-Nieuport 411

May be with your active colaboration, we can see this plane flying the skies of world war 2 online.

Thanks, and salutes from Spain ;)

"Muchas gracias" for your input and support Cid250.

The Loire-Nieuport 401 is an interesting plane, but I would prefer the Breguet 691/693/695 for the following reasons:

* Faster and generally more protected
* Better suited to the CAS role with its eight 50kg bombs
* More historical as the LN was originally only meant to attack ships, not ground troops
* Saw service in much greater numbers (220+ built, about 70 in service on May 10th: 1/5th of Stuka numbers)
* Much better documented, in fact we have already 95% of the needed documentation, entirely from the French military archives

To know more about the Breguet light bomber series, read the following thread.

http://www5.playnet.com/bv/wwiiolhq/dg_message.jsp?group_id=8863&parent_id=1065581&page=1

And if you agree with me that this plane is sorely needed, please bump the thread!

!S to u Cid, some of us work since a long time to have more (réalistic) plane.
Be sure we are interested ..

I know about the breguet... and is the better CAS plane.

I want to support Breguet too, because it was in greater numbers too.

But i want some research for the most unknown plane... the french dive bomber.

May be in order of "most wish" the french planes are:

Breguet 691/693/695
Morane 406
Loire-Nieuport 411

But will be cool to have a dive bomber, even if is slow. In air superiority, the speed isn't a problem... the role of this plane is dive bombing... and is well armed with 500Kg of bombs and a 20mm gun... so it can work as tank killer better than Breguet.

I hope to see this in WW2OL or IL2-Sturmovuk.

May be the most hard thing is get a correct picture of the cockpit. There are any french museum with a Loire-Nieuport 411?. May be some one need to get the pics... and lend it to the IL2 modelers.

Thanks for your valuable help. ;)

I'm axis dedicated player, but i'm happy when i see the correct historic weapons in a simulation of the Battle of France.

In ground, i want to see the H39, and the T.13 Belgium tank killer... this is needed and can be added to all spawn list over Belgium cities... Please, push for both too. ;)
I'm tired of the same USA-British-German weaponset in all games of second world war.
